Video games are released on an annual basis. We like video games. They can entertain us and take us away from the world when the world becomes too much to bear. Video games can be really fun, really sad or anything in between. 2021 has seen some interesting video games being released, with Age of Empires IV, Far Cry 6, Forza Horizon 5, Deathloop and Resident Evil 4.
The next year is also looking like a great year for video games. Here are some upcoming 2022 video games that we are looking forward to.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human
Developer Techland is known for delivering great video games. Dying Light is an old title, almost 6 years old now. It is time for the next title, Dying Light 2: Stay Human. This game was postponed multiple times, for obvious reasons, some of which are the fact that the game was not ready. Not to end up as Cyberpunk 2077 ended up with a lot of content missing and a plethora of bugs, Techland is releasing the game when it is ready.
The story moves on, the entirety of the world has infected people, and they are mostly inside during the day. The buildings are no longer safe during the day, but then again, the outside is not safe during the night. Good night and good luck.
Starfield
Bethesda loves November 11, so you can expect Starfield to be released on 11.11.2022, as was already stated. Starfield is the first new IP that Bethesda developed in 25 years, finally moving away from Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. While everybody wants TES: VI, they will have to settle for Skyrim in space, Starfield.
Starfield looks like an Interstellar-like video game, set in space. Being a Bethesda title, we can expect plenty of bugs and mod support, both of which Bethesda is known for. The bugs make the games interesting and the mod support makes them playable and replayable.
Horizon: Forbidden West
Horizon: Zero Dawn is a great video game that is worth replaying multiple times. It was released as a Playstation exclusive title but after a while, it was also released for the PC. It is a great RPG with amazing storytelling and a great world. Forbidden West continues where that story left off, putting us in the eyes of Aloy, a huntress who uses her bow to take down ridiculous machines, some of which are about as large as two story houses. The world is far from good and it is up to Aloy to do something about it.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl
The Stalker franchise got an interesting update out of the blue. We have a 2022 release of the legendary survival shooter, set close to Chernobyl, where interesting monsters and human monsters prowl, as well as mysteries bordering on fantasy, but more similar to science fiction.
2022 is looking like a great year for gaming with the titles mentioned above being just some we are looking forward to.
